Persona 3: Reload: Development time and cost are out of control
In a recent interview, Kazuhisa Wada, the producer of the "Muse" series, revealed why "Reload" was absent from the much-discussed female protagonist story in the fan-loved "Persona 3" series.
According to IGN, citing PC Gamer, ATLUS had planned to include female protagonists in the preparation of the "Aegis" DLC, but due to development time and cost constraints, it ultimately failed to materialize. Kazuhisa Wada said that even if Atlus allows the release of female protagonist DLC in the future, the release time will be far away and it will be difficult to bear the financial burden.
"'P3R' has just been released and there is a lot of interest at the moment. If we are going to do additional content releases, it has to be now. However, we cannot release'P3R 'with female protagonists in this time window. We apologise to fans who are looking forward to this, but this plan may never come to fruition."
The addition of a female protagonist to the Pocket Edition added a new perspective and experience to Persona 3. Its absence from the Remake will inevitably make some fans regret it. However, ATLUS was unable to meet players' expectations due to development costs and time constraints.
